This 72-unit apartment complex consists of four separate buildings. Thistle Community Housing acquired the wood-shingle clad buildings in 2006. VaST prepared a Capital Needs Assessment (CNA) and then later developed a multi-color stucco and metal siding design scheme making a dramatic change and giving each building a separate identity.
VaST also redesigned three of the units to make them handicap accessible, added a rock play area for children and designed the monument sign, building numbers and way finding signage.
Working with Synertech Systems Corporation and PCD Engineering, VaST and the Owner were able to determine what energy upgrades would be most cost effective.
