Here's an update on the CimateSmart Loan Program.
Applications for residential projects are being taken April 1 to April 10.

THINGS TO KNOW:
You must own the property.
You must request at least $3,000 in loan funds.
You MUST register for and attend required property owner workshop.
You must obtain written bids or estimates (including “not to exceed” clause).
Income Qualified Loans may only be used for primary residences and are capped at $15,000 per property owner under Federal Law. (Please see below for income guidelines.)
You do not have to Income Qualify to receive a loan.
There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.
The loans will be offered in 15-year terms.
Interest rates will be set after the bond sale.

Note that bond rates change frequently and the actual rates may be higher or lower depending on market conditions at the time of sale. Rates will be no higher than 6.75% for Income Qualified Loans and 8.75% for Open Loans. Boulder County is examining all opportunities to obtain the lowest assessment rates possible.
