VaST participated in DESIGNER DATING at DWR Boulder.

On September 17th, DWR Boulder continued their matchmaking series with an evening devoted to architecture. It was a chance to meet local architects and learn about their services in a low-key and fun setting. In a variation of speed dating, each architect took ten minutes to showcase their approach and expertise in a brief presentation. Boulder architects included: Arch 11, VaST architecture, Gettliffe Architecture, Hine Architecture, Folwell Architecture and Greenfield Architecture.

September 26—29, 2009
Joseph and Brandy joined 11 other design professional on a fun filled and education trip to Wisconsin to learn about the Cardinal Glass manufacturing process in Portage WI and Weather Shield Windows in Medford WI.

During the trip we stayed at House on the Rock Resort in Spring Green WI, toured Frank Lloyd Write's Taliesin, took a bike tour of Madison WI, and had a great meal at the Old Feed Mill in Mazomanie WI.

VaST says goodbye to Architectural Intern Jacob Lovoi. Jacob was with VaST for about a year and a half. He and his wife Katy have moved to Fort Collins. Jacob is planning for some downtime to continue work on his family's cabin shed, design and build furniture, help a friend remodel his home, and coach folks in SketchUp. VaST's Hickory House is filmed yet again. This time for the Green Building Segment on the Moments Show for Boulder's Channel 8. Frances Higgins and Jeane Woods from the Moments Show did the filming and Beth Powel from the City of Boulder did the voice over. Watch the video about local architect, Jospeh Vigil, and his wife, Brandy LeMae, explaining how they are of the "green" home they built in Boulder.

Architectural Intern, Alicia Ajayi, takes her GRE and gets the score she wants! Now she wants to take it again and try to do better. She also visited Washington University in St. Louis. She wants to get a dual degree in Masters of Architecture and Masters of Social Work. You go girl!
