Frequent Flyers Productions newest offering is a take-off on comic book heroes. "The New Comic Book Heroes" pairs local poet, Jack Collom’s writings with comic book artist, Scorpio Steele’s fantastical drawings, woven together with humor, aerial dance, music, sound, lighting, and props.

This 70-minute show (without an intermission) follows the journey of Equinox (played by Miguel Chernus-Goldstein) as he encounters the fantastic characters in a surreal trip down the black & white checkerboard road. Along the way he meets Alexis Scissor Legs (played by Danielle Hendricks on stilts); Damsel in Distress (played by Kim Townsend), who lures unsuspecting super heroes into her distress and robs them of their power; Whirly Woman (played by Angela Delsanter) whose super power comes from her majorette baton; Our Lady of Perpetual Help – a.k.a the Dashboard Nun (played by Nancy Smith), who helps others, but can’t help herself and 7 more super heroes!
The performance is a visual treat for audiences of all ages. Tickets are $14-$27.
